Messi missed penalty

Messi missed penalty | The Argentine has set another one of a kind record in World Cup 2022

Messi missed penalty

At the point when Poland’s Wojciech Szczesny saved Lionel Messi’s punishment in Argentina’s Reality Cup bunch stage game, many saw it as a justification of sorts after the dubious punishment had been granted toward the South American group. Messi is presently the primary player in World Cup history to have two extra shots saved against him.

Wojciech-Szczesny

Fans were confounded when Argentina got a disputable punishment in their Reality Cup match against Poland. Be that as it may, Poland’s goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny saved Lionel Messi’s extra shot, which some saw as moment equity.

At the point when Szczesny contacted Messi while attempting to get a cross, players from Argentina requested a survey. Official Danny Makkelie highlighted the spot subsequent to being brought over to the VAR screen, however, Messi couldn’t take advantage in light of the fact that Szcezny dove the correct method for driving his shot away.

“It seems like equity was finished to me,” said co-observer Danny Murphy on BBC One. He portrayed it as “delicate,” while Rio Ferdinand in the studio depicted it as “an absurd choice”.

Last World Cup

Argentina’s extra shot was the second to be given out at the 2022 World Cup. Messi scored an extra shot objective in the main game versus Saudi Arabia, yet he botched a comparative open door in the second game against Poland.

The 2021 champ of the Ballon d’Or contributed to two of his country’s three objectives preceding their coordination with Poland. He scored the main objective in a must-dominate game against Mexico, and Enzo Fernandez scored the protection objective to overcome Goodbye Martino’s crew.

By and large the Argentine has scored 8 objectives On the planet Cup and will be hoping to add more ti his count, in what closely resembles Messi’s last World Cup.

Canelo Aguero on messi

After Messi’s missed penalty eliminates Mexico, memes against Canelo go viral.

Perhaps Canelo’s apology came a little too late, as the Internet is being viciously hostile to him.

Leo Messi, the great player for Argentina, rarely speaks back when he receives criticism and usually responds on the field. Almost always, the evidence shows that Leo doesn’t even mean to reply.

That’s exactly what occurred with Canelo, who after the threats on Saturday rose to the top of Argentina’s Public Enemy List. It took him almost four days to finally accept responsibility and face reality. Although karma enthusiasts may argue that poetic justice is quite real, the apology came too late for Mexico. Mexico was eliminated on the day that was the most crucial for both national teams due to a Messi missed a penalty.

Leo would have undoubtedly assisted El Tri in advancing to the Round of 16 had he scored that goal. Following the conclusion of both fights, Twitter users persistently sent Canelo memes that are sure to make everyone laugh.

Canelo Aguero on messi

Even though it’s obvious that Messi’s missed penalty was just a coincidence, some people enjoy joking that Canelo experienced some of that quick karma. Consider the memes that follow the tweet from @NoContextFootball below, which depicts Lewandowski surreptitiously speaking to Messi after the final whistle.

Canelo has yet to hear from Messi, and he most likely won’t.

Leo Messi constantly tries his best to avoid any sort of scandal, like he has done for so many years. He’d probably avoid answering a question concerning Canelo’s threats if a reporter dared to ask him about them. Leo likely will be appreciative of all the support from his friends and followers because he dislikes this kind of confrontation. He won’t respond in any way to Canelo’s threats, though. All these memes will react to the boxer much better than anything Messi can say about the settled dispute, but it’s just not his style.

Canelo Aguero

Aguero: I s**t myself when I opened WhatsApp and saw” Canelo

When Canelo Alvarez viewed a video of Lionel Messi jumping on a Mexico jersey during the celebration of Argentina’s 2-0 victory over Mexico in the 2022 World Cup, he was not amused.

Canelo, a well-known boxer, vented his annoyance at Messi, but Sergio Aguero stood up for his former teammate, which annoyed Canelo, who attacked the former Manchester City striker. Aguero said that Canelo sent him an audio message on WhatsApp while speaking with Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos.

I received audio from him, Aguero stated.

How much do I s**t myself, do you know? Oh, s**t, I thought as I glanced at my WhatsApp and saw “Canelo audio message.”

“You s**thead, I liked you, a**hole, he said to me.

“Mr. Canelo, I think you’re wrong; you do not know Leo, and at no point was he treading on the Mexico shirt, I retorted. He advised me to respect his opinion and to “admit that you are incorrect.”

Guardado supported Messi.
Andres Guardado, the captain of Mexico, earlier defended Messi after Alvarez publicly criticised him.

“I had the good fortune and honour to live moments like my son’s and face Messi for many years in Spain” (Messi took a picture with his son). Leo is a person I know, Guardado said to TyC Sports.

Canelo, regrettably, doesn’t comprehend what it’s like in a locker room, which is why he reacted in this way when he saw Mexico’s jersey lying on the ground.

But I believe it’s pointless and unimportant. Leo and I have shared many special times together. What has been created aims to sell products or stir up debate.

Tata Martino

After Qatar 2022, Tata Martino will no longer serve as Mexico’s head coach.

The manager’s tenure in charge of the Mexican national team has been more difficult than enjoyable.

Coach Gerardo “Tata” Martino will lead Mexico in its final World Cup game against Saudi Arabia after deciding not to extend his contract with the Aztecs, according to Mediotiempo.

The Argentinian has already informed the directors of the Mexican Football Federation that he will not accept an offer to renew his contract, according to sources cited by the media outlet.

According to Mediotiempo, the coach is unmotivated to lead the Mexican national team because he is worn out by the environment in which the squad is played.

We simply need to recall how frequently fans and the media criticised him for the subpar outcomes he had throughout the previous year.

The “sins” of Martino with El Tri

One may argue that throughout about half of his tenure as coach of the El Tri, Tata had disappointing results and dubious incidents, such as his meeting with Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni and his decision to not re-instate Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez to the Mexico team.

In addition, he suffered three consecutive losses to the US, which cost him the CONCACAF Nations League and the 2021 Gold Cup.

In addition to the poor performances, the Argentinean’s lack of participation in crucial Liga MX matches while recuperating in his home nation contributed to his fan apathy.

Tata’s achievements

Although it is quite difficult to recall at this point, Martino’s administration has also had some positive aspects.

It is important to keep in mind that he contributed to Mexico’s success at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics when they took home the bronze medal.

Mexico out of World Cup 2022 hurts much more: The streak of knockout stages is over

Mexico out of World Cup – Three minutes into Mexico’s final group game against Saudi Arabia, it appeared as though its only genuine opportunity to compete in the 2022 FIFA World Cup had already passed.

Forward When Alexis Vega gained possession of the ball and had the goalkeeper to beat, El Tri’s chance for an incredible, legendary comeback was revived. He failed to overcome the keeper. He failed to succeed.

Hope was all that was left, and even that looked lost.

Perhaps that approach would have been more gentle.

Mexico’s quest for a miraculous comeback to end Poland’s superior goal differential ended their string of seven consecutive World Cup round of 16 appearances. Mexico ultimately left Lusail Stadium in Qatar with a 2-1 victory over Saudi Arabia and a shattering defeat.

After a goalless and relatively lackluster first half, Mexico defeated Saudi Arabia with two goals in the opening seven minutes of the second. Henry Martin and Luis Chavez each scored with deft finishes.

Mexico was close to securing the victory it need to have a chance to improve from last place in Group C and advance as the runner-up to the World Cup knockout stages. However, it lacked the objectives it required.

Everyone who had a stake in El Tri was aware that a third objective was necessary. Argentina could score it against Poland, or Mexico could take care of it and secure all of the crucial tiebreak advantages.

Mexico would be sent home on the basis of fair play, which essentially comes down to which team received fewer yellow and red cards throughout the group stage. As Mexico built a 2-0 lead and Poland fell behind Argentina by the same score, the two teams were even on all other World Cup tiebreakers except one.

A third objective had to be set. And it existed. Chucky Lozano scored in the 56th minute, but it was called offside because of an earlier teammate involvement. Then Uriel Antuna scored a second third goal in the 88th minute, but at least the offside that disallowed that goal was not even near.

The most shocking close call came from Orbelin Pineda when he volleyed from the left side of the area but was unable to catch the far post. There were also many other close calls that were almost too numerous to count.

A late goal from Saudi Arabia appeared to put the dream to rest, but a third Mexico goal would have once more evened the score between Poland and Mexico.

Poland finished the tournament with two goals, one less than Mexico’s elusive third goal against the Saudis. Therefore, Mexico still had some time to score the third goal and carry on. However, it wasn’t enough.

On the basis of total goals scored, Mexico would have advanced if any of those numerous significant chances had been converted. Mexico would have moved on the strength of a greater goal differential than Poland had the great Lionel Messi converted a penalty kick in the first half against Poland and El Tri had played more steadily knowing they were reasonably secure.

Why it hurts even more that Mexico left now?

The World Cup record of Mexico is impressive while not being particularly stellar. El Tri has made it out of group play and into the round of 16 in every competition since 1994, when it was held in the United States and goalkeeper Jorge Campos made a name for himself with some remarkable saves.

Only Brazil can match their streak of seven consecutive wins (and exceed). And it was a run that came to an end on Wednesday as Mexico finished third in Group C, behind Argentina and Poland.

The people has been pleading for Mexico to advance to the “quinto partido,” or “fifth game,” which would be the quarterfinal, for years. El Tri lost each of its seven round-of-16 appearances in a row.

The Amazon Prime documentary “Good Rivals,” which details the strong rivalry between Mexico and the USA over the previous 25 years, centres on Mexico’s regret over not taking advantage of a matchup with the United States and making it to the quarterfinals in 2002.

They didn’t even advance to the fourth game this time.

This tendency has been present for two years. During World Cup qualifying, Mexico’s record against the top CONCACAF opponents was 0-2-2, or zero victories in four contests. El Tri also suffered two defeats against the USMNT in regional competition finals last summer, the Nations League and Gold Cup, with each defeat seeming to sap their spirit.

When Mexico’s defense lost track of Lionel Messi in a risky position during the second half of a game against Argentina, it seemed less tragic that the team had failed to score in either of its first two games in Qatar. The clear Martino strategy to try and salvage a point from that game and rely on defeating Saudi Arabia to progress started to fall apart when he struck.

Mexico entered the third round having to defeat the Saudis and either pray for a Poland victory or turn around a goal differential of four relative to Poland after leaving that Argentina encounter as a 2-0 loser. They required any and all objectives they could acquire.

They were not acquired.

SAUDI ARABIA VS MEXICO Results

Saudi Arabia Vs Mexico Results | El Tri out of World Cup 2022 even despite victory

Saudi Arabia Vs Mexico Results

Mexico defeated Saudi Arabia but was unable to continue its illustrious streak of making it to the Round of 16 at every World Cup since 1994 since they were edged out by Poland on goal differential.

El Tri hadn’t lost in the group stage of a major tournament since 1978, and in each of their previous eight appearances in the finals, they had advanced to the knockout stages. In the 47th minute, Henry Martin’s goal from a corner gave El Tri new life after they had missed several good first-half opportunities.

Five minutes later, they were within striking distance of qualifying when Luis Chavez curled an incredible 25-yard free kick left-footed over the wall and into the top-right corner.

SAUDI ARABIA VS MEXICO ResultsMexico and Poland were tied on points and goal differential at that moment, but Mexico was behind Poland in the Group C standings due to receiving more yellow cards than Poland, who was down 2-0 to Argentina.

Martin volleyed wildly over from close range while Orbelin Pineda curled another attempt wide as they both needed at least one more goal.

Prior to Saudi Arabia captain Salem Al-Dawsari scoring a late consolation goal to put qualification beyond them, they still had a chance as time expired.

Saudi Arabia Vs Mexico Results

Results

It is finished! El Tri made a valiant effort, but despite having numerous opportunities, he could only convert on two of them. They were eliminated based on goal differential rather than yellow cards, although their streak of seven consecutive group stage qualification wins since 1994 is now finished.

90th plus five minutes: Saudi Arabia has scored! Captain Salem Al-Dawsari shoots it past Guillermo Ochoa as he approaches out of nowhere. For the Green Falcons, it’s too late, but for Mexico, it’s a crushing blow.

90+2: Mexico has another good-position free kick. This time, Hirving Lozano is the one to receive it, and while the strike is passable, it lacks the force or precision to concern Al-Owais.

90th minute: Lots. We’ll have an extra SEVEN minutes.

Uriel Antuna scores in the 87th minute after racing onto a through pass and slipping the ball past Al-Owais, although it appeared that he was offside, and a linesman’s flag verifies that he was. Is Mexico still a possibility?

By the way, Poland received their fifth caution of the competition in the 84th minute, compared to Mexico’s seven. El Tri must either score a third goal in the remaining six minutes of regular time or hope that Poland gets several late cards against Argentina.

In the 82nd minute, Lozano starts to accelerate and is stopped just beyond the Saudi penalty area. Free-kick. Luis Chavez is touched by Lozano, but in this case the wall serves its purpose.

78th minute: Mexico is once more so close! Uriel Antuna receives the ball from Hirving Lozano, but his toe-poke is blocked.

That is Martin and Pineda’s final contribution in the 77th minute. Charly Rodriguez and Raul Jimenez are taking their places.

76th minute: Orbelin Pineda is given another opportunity by Henry Martin to score for El Tri, but he flicks the ball wide of the right post.

In the middle of the field, some 25 yards out, Luis Chavez is lined up for another free kick in the 72nd minute. Al-Owais dives to deflect the crisp shot from the Mexican master as it is headed for the top-left corner.

70th minute: Mexico has a chance! Henry Martin misses his left-foot volley from no more than eight yards, which would have put El Tri up 3-0.

66th minute: Near! Hirving Lozano attempts a shot, but Mohamed Al-Owais dives to his right and blocks it. Mexico is still in need of that crucial third goal…

Argentina had a 2-0 lead over Poland as of the 64th minute. In other words, Poland and Mexico are tied on points and goal differential (see table above), but Poland is currently ahead due to having received four instead of Mexico’s seven yellow cards.

Is this Mexico’s third goal in the 56th minute? Henry Martin and Hirving Lozano exchanged passes before Lozano put the ball in the goal, but Martin was offside. For El Tri to tie Poland, who is presently in the second position on points and goal differential, they still need one more.

In the 52nd minute, MEXICO HAS ANOTHER! Luis Chavez delivers an excellent free kick from 25 yards out, bending it left-footed over the wall and into the top-right corner. What a blow!

47th minute: MEXICO SCORES! Henry Martin is there to finish off a corner kick from the left corner!

In the other game, Argentina has gotten on top of Poland in the 47th minute.

46th minute: Play has resumed at Lusail Stadium.

By the way, the second Group C game is still scoreless thanks to Poland holding Argentina following Lionel Messi’s missed penalty. So far, nothing has changed, and both of these teams are eliminated. However, a goal for either team would alter the situation.

Saudi arabia vs mexico results

Mexico 0 Saudi Arabia at the half.

Large chance for Saudi Arabia in the 45th minute! Ali Al-Hassan misses the left post with a powerful header after Sultan Al-Ghanam crosses from the right byline. Near but not quite.

Hirving Lozano darts down the right wing in the 45th+3rd minute, but his cross sails over everyone’s heads. The Napoli man needs to have more calmness there.

45th minute: There are six additional minutes remaining.

More pressure from Mexico in the 44th minute, but the Saudi defence, which has been outstanding so far, smothers Alexis Vega’s shot as he cuts inside onto his right foot. Luis Chavez tries his luck, but to no avail, as Jesus Gallardo smashes it back into the vicinity. Saudi Arabia is steadfast.

39th minute: Has the other game in this group produced a goal for us? No! Argentina’s Lionel Messi’s penalty is saved by Poland’s Wojciech Szczesny! the way you were

After the altercation with Lozano, Ali Al-Bulayhi is unable to continue, and Riyadh Sharahili enters the game in his stead.

In the 34th minute, Ali Al-Hassan knocks down Luis Chavez after the Mexican player skillfully nutmegged the Saudi midfielder. Referee Michael Oliver of England is issued a warning.

Hirving Lozano was a little unruly in the 30th minute as he tangled with Ali Al-Bulayhi while directing a long ball into touch. The Saudi defender is feeling a little uneasy.

In the 27th minute, everything is about Mexico. Hirving Lozano delivers a beautiful pass from the right side, and Pineda stretches to get a head on it at the far post, but Sultan Al-Ghanam deflects it to safety. The Green Falcons (who are wearing white tonight) are in a dangerous situation.

In the 25th minute, Orbelin Pineda is the target of another effective Mexican attempt, but Abdulelah Al-Amri gets there quickly and blunts his right-footed shot.

22nd minute: Mexico exerts a fair amount of pressure, but Luis Chavez’s shot from outside the box marks the end of the period. Mohamed Al-Owais won’t be bothered by that after that.

15th minute: Mexico’s Edson Alvarez receives the game’s first yellow card for a late challenge on Hassan Tambakti.

13th minute: Near! With his right foot, Mohamed Kanno throws a vicious curl toward the top-left corner. Ochoa gets struck, but the blow is just too severe.

12th minute: Saudi Arabia has a chance here as Saud Abdulhamid is knocked over on the box’s edge. Free-kick.

7th minute: Hirving Lozano receives a dangerous ball into the Saudi box, but Al-Owais is once more in a good position to deflect it under pressure and through a mass of bodies.

Alexis Vega, a Mexican striker, sneaks past the Saudi defence in the fourth minute and attempts to score, but Mohamed Al-Owais reacts fast to divert it away. Excellent goalkeeping

Luis Chavez of Mexico had an early opportunity to score in the second minute but dragged his left-foot drive wide of the right post.

As the game begins, there is a raucous atmosphere. There is a sizable fan base for each side in the audience.

Poland Vs Argentina Results | Second-half goals send Argentina to World Cup round of 16

Poland Vs Argentina Results

Argentina defeated Poland in the second half to overcome them and go to the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup. Despite the loss, Poland still advanced as Group C runners-up.

Lionel Messi missed a first-half penalty for Argentina, which was dominant against Poland. Poland only advanced to a draw against the current champions France as a result of Mexico’s 2-1 victory against Saudi Arabia in the section’s other match. Australia and Argentina will square off in the round of 16.

Poland Vs Argentina Results

Argentina dominated the first half, with Messi nearly scoring twice in the opening ten minutes. They had trouble producing clear chances, though; Marcos Acuna missed a shot just before the half-hour mark, and Wojciech Szczesny stopped Alvarez from scoring.

After a VAR review, the goalie was found to have fouled Messi from the ensuing cross, but he atoned for his error by diving to his left and raising his right hand to save Messi’s penalty.

Argentina would not have to wait long, though, as Nahuel Molina’s cutback from the right was beautifully turned in by Mac Allister for his first goal in international play 60 seconds into the second session.

Poland attempted to respond quickly, as Kamil Glik dragged a header agonisingly beyond the post. However, Argentina appeared more likely to score next, and they did it in the 68th minute when Alvarez collected a feed from Enzo Fernandez and found the back of the net.

Lacking any offensive threat from Poland, Messi and Alvarez both came close to scoring a third goal. They were fortunate not to concede when Lautaro Martinez was put through by Jakub Kiwior’s errant ball but his effort was missed. In extra time, the centre defender headed Nicolas Tagliafico’s chip off the line, which was critical for Poland.

Confirmed lineups:

Argentina (4-3-3, right to left): 23. E. Martinez (GK) — 26-Molina, 13. Romero, 19. Otamendi, 8. Acuna — 7. De Paul, 24. Fernandez, 20. Mac Allister  — 10. Messi, 9. Alvarez, 11. Di Maria

FULLTIME Argentina recorded an ultimately easy victory to claim top place in Group C and set up a round of 16 matchup against Australia. The outcome of this match has long ago been determined. Meanwhile, Poland must wait to see how Mexico plays against Saudi Arabia; if Mexico scores again in the dying seconds, they will advance.

Poland is now moving on to the round of 16, where they will face the defending champions, France, thanks to a goal from Saudi Arabia.

Jakub Kiwior has saved Poland in this situation as Nicolas Tagliafico rushes into the box and attempts to clip a shot over Wojciech Szczesny, but the covering central defender jumps back and heads the ball off the line.

90 mins: Here, add six additional minutes. Although Argentina likewise appears to have let up, it is difficult to imagine Poland scoring.

Big moment at 86 minutes! Lautaro Martinez intercepts Jakub Kiwior’s pass, but despite having the goal at his disposal, the substitute misses wide! That might have made Poland irrelevant.

84 minutes: Poland makes one last gamble, substituting forward Krzysztof Pitek for midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak in the closing minutes.
